Funny Dylan

Yesterday, we were at Target buying a book (for me!) and some milk. On the way to the milk section, I stopped off in Shoes to browse. After a few minutes, Dylan very politely told me, "Mommy, we don't have to look at shoes. We can just go get some milk." Already a man... trying to hurry a woman while she's shoe shopping. (:

Last night, Nathan's head was hurting. So Dylan told him, "Daddy, it's alright. Mommy and me are here and we'll take care of you." And then he proceeded to give him lots of hugs and kisses.

This morning, he walked up to me and said, "Mommy, can we talk?"... he wanted to discuss his two tractors. What a funny kid.

My Haircut

After trying a couple of good hair stylists, I finally found one that I REALLY like! I swear, that is one of the hardest things to do when you move... in case you're wondering.

Anyway, I decided I was ready for a change, so I chopped it off. Hopefully you get the idea from these pictures. I'm so glad I did it! No more boring haircuts for awhile, I hope.

Addison's First Feeding

Hard to believe, but Addison is actually old enough to start rice cereeal! We gave it a try Sunday evening. She did ok, but as you can see, she wasn't loving it.

"Phew! Glad that's over with!"
(This is just the beginning sweet girl... just wait until you try peas!)

Four Months Old!

Addison turned 4 months old yesterday. What a difference a month makes! She's finally a happy, fun baby. In fact, just Saturday, someone commented at the grocery story about how happy she seemed. I turned to Nathan afterward and said, "Did you ever think anyone would say that?!" We're so thankful that it's finally true. She's such a cute, fun little girl!

This also gives her great access to her hands... one of her favorite "toys" right now. She's almost figured out how to suck her thumb. We'll see if she's just like her brother or not!




She still manages to scoot a lot. She had been laying directly under her toy on the blanket. In a matter of just 15 minutes, she moved completely off the blanket and moved perpendicular to how she started! She's not rolling over, but she has some strong legs!

Dylan's 1st Basketball Game

Nathan was so excited to take Dylan to his first college basketball game a couple of weekends ago. They (Nathan, Dylan & my dad) went up to UGA in Athens for the Mizzou v. Georgia game. We weren't sure how Dylan would do, mainly because the game was during his normal naptime. Nathan was very happily surprised that Dylan did GREAT! He loved looking for the mascots, watching the band and walking around the arena. I'm sure the actual game will be of more interest when he gets older. (: Oh, and Mizzou won--yay!

Before they even left the parking garage, Dylan was out like a light. A true sign of a fun time!

Happy New Year

Addison has been "talking" up a storm the past day or so. She just wanted to say a quick Happy New Year!
