Addison Jolee is here!

Finally! Addison Jolee Stallings has arrived: September 11, 2008 at 8:07 pm. 6 lbs. 15 oz, 19.5 inches long. Her middle name is a combination of my mom's middle name (Jo) and Nathan's mom's middle name (Lee).

After an entire night of contractions (i.e. I got no sleep), which never became consistent or more intense, we decided to be induced. It seemed my body wasn't ever going to make something of all the contractions I'd been having, even though I was dilating, etc. So, we arrived at the hospital around 2:30 on Thursday afternoon. While waiting in admissions, I began having contractions again. I didn't think much about it, considering I'd been having contractions off and on for the past 2 weeks. When we got to our labor/delivery room and I was hooked up to the monitors, the nurse told me I was actually having contractions every 2 minutes. Roughly 5-6 hours later, with only 2 pushes (yay!), we met our precious little girl.

So, although we came to the hospital to be induced, I ended up going into labor on my own as soon as we arrived. It was meant to be! On a side note... had we not been at the hospital... my contractions went from 15 minutes apart to 2 minutes apart over the course of less than an hour. At that point, we would have been driving to the hospital in rush hour traffic--NOT a good thing in Atlanta. God was keeping us safe all along... I just love it when you see Him protecting you like that.

We're still in the hospital now, headed home tomorrow. We're all doing very well. I'll try to get a picture up when I can, but no promises (we'll be a little busy for awhile). Oh, and Dylan just LOVES her!! Wanted to kiss her constantly, hold her, share toys with her, and couldn't stop looking at her. We'll see how he does when she gets home, but so far, so good!
