4th of July

We had fun, and pretty busy, 4th this year. But considering last year, we moved into our house on July 3rd, we had much more fun this year!!

We started the day going to a parade with my parents and some friends from my playgroup. The parade was fun, but very very loud! It was a parade of steam engine trains and tractors... right up Dylan's alley.

Walking to the parade with Grandpa Mick.

The dads with their kids

They were handing out earplugs at the beginning (I'm not kidding when I said it was LOUD!). Dylan actually kept his in the entire time.

Soooooo big!

Waving to the trains & tractors.

A family picture... with everyone smiling!

That evening, Nathan showed Dylan some fireworks--snakes & fountains. Dylan LOVED the fountains. We were able to watch the fireworks show from a friends' backyard. They are high enough to see a few displays, without it being loud--perfect for Dylan. He really loved watching them. I think he felt so proud and old to be able to stay up so late! (:
